flatpak

probably the simplest and also good way to install srb2kart. they even figured out discord rpc in there!

don't have flatpak installed? follow the official instructions to install it!
- if in steps for your distro it says something about installing a gnome software plugin, you can skip this, it won't be required here.
- if you aren't sure if you have flatpak installed just run flatpak in your terminal. if it displays an error that you did not specify a command then you're all set.

have flatpak? put this into your terminal:

flatpak install flathub org.srb2.SRB2Kart-Saturn

wait for it to do it's thing and then launch the game from your app launcher. enjoy!
- in case you need this, you can also launch the game with a command: flatpak run org.srb2.SRB2Kart-Saturn

srb2bld

if you don't want to flatpak and you'd like to build the game manually, you can use the srb2bld script.
you can find it here. haven't used it myself, so just follow the official instructions and everything should be okay.

manual compilation?

this requires some tinkering... i'll just drop some resources that you might need if you want to figure this out

distro packages?

srb2kart and srb2kart saturn are available in the AUR under names srb2kart and srb2kart-saturn-git.
unfortunately, as of writing this the latter is broken and it doesn't build properly :(
generally speaking, for srb2kart-saturn flatpak is the best option.
